bbpositive: Approach

 

 

bbpositive seeks to transform the diagnosis of a potentially life-threatening infection into positive views and actions about keeping healthy and living Well. We are user-led, controlled by those most directly affected by HIV & AIDS. We encourage self-determination, autonomy and personal responsibility. We provide opportunities for people with HIV & AIDS to initiate and realise new projects. We facilitate the development of personal networks. We recognise the needs of partners, carers, families and friends. We enable individual and local solutions to the challenge of HIV infection. We promote awareness of HIV & AIDS in the community as a whole. We work in partnership with other organisations in the field. We provide a service to all without discrimination. We encourage interactions between people affected by HIV & AIDS from different background.
